OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

For an electric stove does not turn on, check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, then some other part of the appliance will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat won’t do much. An oven doesn’t heat if there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner will not fire up when an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and fix these issues in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken when the program or timer settings don’t work. If that is the case, we know how to fix control panels on Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be because of a broken thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to diagnose the location of the issue and then fix it. Be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but does not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can have door issues. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door won’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to correct the problem.
